Så derfor går jeg ned på T-banen for å lytte til «Khipukamayuk», en cd med musikk komponert av Lene Grenager og spilt av cellist Marianne Baudouin Lie, sammen med Trondheim Sinfonietta og dirigert av Trond Madsen i tittelverket på plata. Og platemerket er Øra Fonogram, etablert i 2005 og som muligens er å forstå som undergrunn.
Og Grenager, er hun undergrunn? Mange vil sikkert si det, selv om jeg ønsker at denne plata skal lyttes til av alle. Med andre ord bli mainstream. For her møter vi musikk som er rått tilhugget og subtil på én gang, med celloen i hovedrollen. Musikk som jeg har lyttet for lite til for å kunne å si noe mer om, foreløpig. Men så langt er plata en åpenbaring.

So, that is why I go down into the tube to listen to «Khipukamayuk», a CD with music composed by Lene Grenager and played by the cellist Marianne Baudouin Lie, together with Trondheim Sinfonietta and conducted by Trond Madsen in the title work. And the record label is Øra Fonogram, established in 2005 and which can be seen as underground.
And Grenager, is she underground? Many would say so, even though I wish this record was listened to by everyone. That it became mainstream. Because here we meet music which is raw and subtle at the same time, with the cello in the main role. This is music which I have not listened to enough to say more about, so far. But this far, the record is a revelation.
